β€œAnd be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
— Romans 12:2 (KJV)

Q: Who can come for BIblical counseling?

A: We meet with individuals from the local area as well as with those who travel by air or drive to our Selah House in Kansas.  We also provide Biblical counseling via Skype to those serving overseas or who are unable to travel to Kansas. We will meet with individuals regardless of their faith background, including those who profess no faith at all.  LifeSource Marriage and Family Care is a Biblically-based Christian ministry; we approach individual and marital issues from a Biblical, spiritual, Christ-centered and God-exalting perspective. All who seek such Biblical counsel are welcome!

Q: Will what I share with you be confidential?

A: Be assured that all the counseling services through LifeSource Marriage and Family Care are confidential. Information regarding the counselling is released only with written permission from the individual being counseled, with the following exceptions:

  • Ethically and legally, if there is a reasonable possibility that the individual might harm him/herself or others, the minister is responsible to inform others in order to protect the individual or others from harm;
  • Information subpoenaed by court will be given as required by law;
  • In case of suspected abuse or neglect of minors, the minister is required to report this information to the appropriate authorities.

When children under 18 are being counseled, written permission is obtained from the parent(s). We  will discuss with the parents and the child prior to beginning counseling the parameters of what will be shared with the parents, to keep a balance between confidentiality and parental roles and responsibilities.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns in regard to confidentiality.

Q: What is Biblical counseling?

A: These days, it is hard to sort out the differences between secular, Christian, and Biblical counseling approaches.  Follow this link for a brief discussion and explanation of Biblical discipleship counseling.

Q: What do we believe?

A: Please take a moment to read through our statement of faith.

Q: What are the costs?

A: Because we are a ministry (not-for-profit) you may find our financial policies unusual.  Follow this link to get the details of our financial policies.

Q: How do I request an appointment?

A: Visit our Contact Us page for an application.

Q: What are your affiliations?

A: LifeSource founders Dallas and Anna Lee Ward have completed training in various counseling methods (SACC, NACC, ADT), and are certified marriage facilitators. They are missionaries serving on home assignment with Commission To Every Nation (CTEN).

Q: How are you supported?

A: Dallas and Anna Lee Ward partner with churches and individuals who believe in the ministry of LifeSource Marriage and Family Care in order to be able to provide Biblical counseling and ministry to people without respect to their ability to pay. Generally, our cost to provide Biblical counseling and ministry is a good bit more than the suggested donations will cover. This difference is made up primarily by the generosity of partnering individuals and churches, for the glory of God.
